Becket Cook

BECKET COOK
Becket Cook came to be a prop stylist and set designer in a rather indirect fashion. His freelance career began in the fashion world as an assistant to a variety of top tier wardrobe stylists. Cook's big break came when he was hired to do props for a fashion editorial for the New York Times Magazine. The job was a huge success and Cook's career as a prop stylist was launched. His work is just as varied as the places that he has lived - Dallas (birthplace), Rome, Tokyo, London and Vienna (where he spent his junior year in college). The experiences he had in these cities coupled with the art history and design courses he took in college have come in handy in terms of his grasp of historical context and have enhanced his visual acumen enabling him to better execute a photographer's vision.
To date, Cook has worked on editorials for Glamour, Harper's Bazaar, In Style, Marie Claire, and Vanity Fair. His advertising clients include Barney's NY, BCBG, Bebe Sport, Microsoft, Peninsula Hotels, Revlon, Sony and Verizon.
