The Washington Design Center is proud to present its milestone 26th presentation of the Design House. We are thrilled to partner with Southern Living magazine. This fall, our industry's leading designers and architects will create "Potomac Fever", the disease one catches after coming to D.C. and seeing all the things this great city has to celebrate – history, political power, eclectic neighborhoods, culture and art! The Fall 2009 Design House will truly celebrate Washington, D.C. with each room in the house representing eight different historic districts.
City Arts We are delighted to work with a charity partner this year, City Arts D.C. The mission of City Arts is to create and promote high quality community art that enriches and enlivens neighborhoods. City Arts students will create a fabulous mural that will be the entry to the Design House and will feature all eight historic districts. Also, they are working closely with our participating designers to customize beautiful one-of-a-kind artwork for the rooms! All proceeds from the Opening Party on September 24th will benefit City Arts! Please visit www.cityartsdc.org.
